On Monday our volunteers attended a presentation and After Action Review of the Line Of Duty Death of Firefighter Sean DeMuynck from Penn Wynne- Overbrook Hills Fire Company in Lower Merion Township.
In order to truly honor the fallen, we must be willing to objectively examine what happened and learn from it.
This was an incident overview of a house fire that occurred on Rosedale Rd, Wynnewood in Lower Merion Twp on July 4, 2021 that resulted in the tragic Line of Duty Death of FF Sean DeMuynck.
The 2-hour presentation was led by Lower Merion Twp’s Deputy Fire Marshal John Waters II. It was held at the Spring-Ford 9th Grade Center and attended by many fire company personnel (over 200 attendees) from throughout western Montgomery County.
This interactive presentation was a compilation of information gained from FF interviews, police body cameras and FF helmet camera footage.
