The Company responded to four incidents for the day. The First coming in at 02:06 hours for a fire alarm at Collegeville Station. Low air pressure in the sprinkler system was found to be the cause of this alarm. The second incident for the day came in at 06:37 hours for an alarm activation at 555 Second Avenue, Building "G", Police arrived on scene with an alarm sounding, Squad 34 responded with a crew of three. Upon arrival, it was found the alarm to be the water gong for the sprinkler system. Police and Squad 34's crew found a broken sprinkler head on the second-floor hallway with several inches of water on the floor and an inch of water on the floors on the first floor. Squad 34's crew then made their way to the basement are to secure the sprinkler system and power to the building as water was pouring into the basement into the HVAC units and through the electrical panels. An odor of gas was detected in the basement, Squad 34 then contacted MCEDS for additional support form station 68-C and Station 66. PECO gas and Electric were both called to the scene to shut off gas to the building and to ensure nothing further had to be done for the electric other the turning off the main breakers. Upon arrival crews for Ladder 68-2 and Engine 66 assisted Squad 34's crew in checking the second section of the building. Both PECO gas and Electric were satisfied there was no danger to the building, Command released Ladder 68-2 and Engine 66 from the scene. Squad 34 went available at 08:04 hours. The third incident came in for Fire Police to assist with closing down E. Main Street for a water main break between 5th and 8th Avenue's. FP34-1 and FP34-8 responded. FP34-1 contacted MCEDS for additional Fire Police from Station8-C and 51 with their traffic units to assist with the closure and detour points. Fire Police went available at 09:29 hours at which time Flagger Force took over traffic control. One lane was re-opened at this time with alternating lane closures to allow traffic flow past the water main break work area. Forth incident for the day came in at 18:30 hour for a Fire Alarm system activation at 400 Front Street, DICK'S store in the Providence Town Center in Upper Providence Township. Squad 68 held this response to Squad 68. 34 units returned.
