At 02:02 hours Station 34 was dispatched to 207 E. Main Street for an MVA 1 vehicle vs Utility Pole with transformer, with pole and wire down in the roadway and wires on the vehicle and smoking. SD 34 responded with a crew of 6 along with Utility 34-1. Deputy 34 responded to the scene and requested fire police to shut down E 1st Avenue. Utility 34 with fp34-1responded to E. Main Street and First Avenue to shut down the roadway at that location and was joined by FP68-21. FP34-8 responded to 1st Avenue and 9th Avenue to shut down 1st Avenue at that location and was joined by Traffic 68-2 with FP68-2-2. PECO responded and shut down power to the downed lines and remove the pole and transformer from the roadway. 1st Avenue was closed for 1 1/2 hours. Fire Police reopened the road at 04:20 hours. PECO responded out with a new pole and transformer for replacement around 7:30 am., and PECO is currently working to restore power to the affected area.
