09:51 hours Station 34 was dispatched on an Automatic Aid response with Station 53 for a reported vehicle fire in the area of Evansburg and Level Road. MCEDS reported a Garbage Truck on fire. 53 Duty officer arrived on scene and reported a working trash fire. The truck operator had dumped his garbage load out onto the roadway. Engine 53 arrived and started a knock down on the fire. Engine 34 arrived with a crew of 4 and pulled a 1/34" line to assist in putting out the fire. Engine 34 established a water supply with a hydrant and the intersection of Evansburg Rd and Greene's Way Drive. Fire was extinguished and all units went available. The truck company arrived to do clean up of the trash.
