**Upper Providence Township Police Investigating Serious Collision on Hopwood Road**
Upper Providence Township – Investigators from the Upper Providence Township Police Department and the Western Montgomery County Regional Crash Unit are conducting a thorough investigation into a serious collision that occurred on Saturday, January 4, 2025, on Hopwood Road between Chinaberry Lane and Harvest Lane.

At approximately 9:58 p.m., UPT Police Department officers, along with UPT Fire & Emergency Services personnel, responded to the location following an automatic crash notification from Verizon Wireless.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered a single vehicle, a silver 2011 Nissan Murano, off the roadway and into a tree. Three occupants were involved in the crash. Two were trapped inside the vehicle and required extrication, while one occupant was found outside the vehicle.
The preliminary investigation indicates the Nissan was traveling westbound on Hopwood Road when it collided with a tree.
The vehicle’s operator was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in critical condition. The rear-seat passenger was transported to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in serious condition. The front-seat passenger was transported to Paoli Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
